All Training Challenges in Crimson Desert - Complete Guide to Locations, Objectives, and Rewards

## Understanding Training Challenges

Training Challenges appear under Journal > Combat > Goyen’s Advice - Training, alongside two other subcategories (Battle and Operation, each with ten tasks). There are exactly ten challenges, and each is triggered by finding a hidden Sealed Abyss Artifact scattered across the continent of Pywel. These artifacts guide players toward locations where they can practice a specific mechanic, wrestling, parrying, elemental slashes, highlining, sliding, pole-vaulting, aerial moves, swimming, or bear-taming.

Completing all ten challenges grants a trophy on PlayStation (and its equivalent on other platforms), making them a priority for anyone chasing 100%. The rewards, Abyss Artifacts, Faded Abyss Artifacts, and skill-enhancing items like Ascent, Aegis, Surge, Vigor, Composure, and Spirit Transference, provide tangible benefits for the rest of your journey.

### Prerequisites Summary

Before diving in, ensure you’ve unlocked the following core skills and items:

  • Keen Senses (parry), purchase from a skill instructor
  • Double Jump, unlocked early in the main story
  • Aerial Force Palm, obtained during progression through the Precipice area
  • Elemental imbuements (Fire, Ice, Lightning, Wind), unlocked via puzzles on Abyss Island
  • Diving Force Palm, available after advancing in the Precipice area

Having stamina restoration items (fish or potions) and a banner pike handy will also expedite several challenges.

Artifact location: Outside Hayroof Farm in Golden Plains, near a collapsed well at the edge of the wheat fields.
Tip: Find a single slow enemy (such as a lumbering grunt) and time your blocks carefully.
Rewards: Abyss Artifact x1, Faded Abyss Artifact x1, Aegis II x1

Tornado of Steel
Hit enemies six times each with normal, Fire-, Ice-, Lightning-, and Wind-enhanced versions of the Turning Slash move, thirty total hits. This requires all four elemental imbuements.

Tip: Use a dense pack of weak foes (the spiders near the artifact are ideal) and cycle through each element without losing momentum.
Rewards: Abyss Artifact x1, Faded Abyss Artifact x1, Spirit Transference x1

Like a Butterfly, Like a Storm
Land two Diving Force Palm attacks in a row without touching the ground. This aerial maneuver is available after progressing through the Precipice area.
Artifact location: Southeast of Delesyia, on the road to Marni’s Laboratorium, tucked behind a large boulder at the cliff’s edge.
Tip: Find a high ledge with a clear drop; chain the two attacks before hitting the ground.
Reward: Abyss Artifact x1, Composure 2 x1

Movement and Traversal Challenges (6)

Stepping on Clouds
Use Aerial Force Palm to reach a height of ten meters. Double Jump must be unlocked first.

The Rewards of Persistence

Completing all ten Training Challenges is more than a checkbox for trophy hunters. The Abyss Artifacts can be used to enhance gear, while the skill-specific items (Ascent, Aegis, Surge, Vigor, Composure, Spirit Transference) permanently improve your character’s capabilities. Even players who breeze through Crimson Desert’s main story will find these challenges sharpen their reflexes for the toughest bosses and optional endgame content.

Start with the easy ones, Sliding Down the Slope and Keeping Balance on the Wind are quick wins, and work your way toward the more demanding Tornado of Steel. With a little patience and a keen eye for hidden artifacts, you’ll have that achievement unlocked and a deeper mastery of Pywel’s toughest encounters.
